A Walk in the Park

This is my personal space to share what it feels like to live with Lewy Body Dementia: my mind watching my mind lose its way. As I began this journey and looked around for research I found many resources. What I have not been able to find are personal reflections on this journey. I suppose that is only natural … since most people find out they have LBD far past the point of being able to record their experiences.

A winding gravel park path stretching into the distance, bordered by mature trees with mixed green and slightly yellowing leaves, suggesting the early stages of change. A sturdy wooden bench sits empty beside the path, its slats worn smooth, with a neatly folded light jacket resting on one end as a subtle sign of presence without showing anyone. Soft late-afternoon sunlight filters through the canopy, creating dappled patterns on the path and bench, with gentle, elongated shadows. The mood is contemplative and calm, evoking a reflective walk. Photographic realism, eye-level composition using the rule of thirds, with a shallow depth of field that keeps the bench and nearby path in crisp focus while the far end of the path fades into a soft, inviting blur.
